During my production, I have made progress in a variety of different areas in terms of my technological ability. I've learnt mostly in the software section with the editing process. Before, I had brief experience with editing due to the preliminary task we did, but not a huge amount. Now in the post production phase, I can say that I have gained a full understanding on the way that iMovie works, and feel a lot more confident with using it in the future. The technology that we found most challenging would be the hardware side, specifically the filming phase using the video camera. Because of some corruption with the clips we recorded, we were forced to go back to our location for a second time to do some extra filming. The part that we found most challenging about this was setting up the camera in the exact same position as it had been before. We had to take great care with this becuase if not when we put the new recorded clips together with the rest, the production wouldn't flow correctly because there would be a slight change of scenary. In an attempt to do this correctly, we took great care in the positioning of the camera to ensure as much as possible that it was in the right position. From this, we learnt about the importance of camera positioning with filming, and how much detail can play a part in the quality of the overall production. As it is, the time we took with positioning the camera paid off because the extra clips we filmed worked with the rest of our film perfectly, and our piece flows well.
